Sales Tax:
Decorating etc. is a registered corporation in the State of Virginia and is responsible for collecting Virginia state sales tax on all orders shipped within the state. Our shopping cart will automatically calculate this tax on all orders shipped within the state of Virginia.

Warranty Policy:
All products are covered by manufacturer warranties.

Cancellation of Orders:
You have 72 hours from the time the order is placed to cancel the order for a full refund. If after the 72 hours you wish the order cancelled, we will attempt to cancel the order with the manufacturer, if the order can not be cancelled with the manufacturer, there will be a 25% restocking fee charged.  Orders should not be considered cancelled by you, unless you receive from Decorating etc., a cancellation confirmation number, which you will only receive upon our verification with the manufacturer that the order has been cancelled.

Order Confirmations:
Order confirmations are automatically sent to the billing address email given by you during checkout. If upon placing your order online, you don't receive an email confirmation within a few minutes, please contact us immediately at 1-866-IDECOR8 (1-866-433-2678) or by e-mail at support@decorating-etc.com. Upon receiving your order confirmation via email please review all aspects of the order for data accuracy, you have 72 hours from the time you receive the order confirmation to make any correction to the items listed on the order. If after the 72 hours you wish the items on the order changed, we will attempt to make the change with the manufacturer, if the order can not be changed with the manufacturer, there will be a 25% restocking fee charged.  Orders should not be considered changed, unless you receive from Decorating etc., a confirmation email outlining the changes you requested, which you will only receive upon our verification with the manufacturer that the order has been changed. Upon receiving the aforementioned email confirmation, you will be required to reply to the change order as verification by you of the changes.

Delivery Times:
Delivery times vary for each manufacturer. Please check the product details screens for each manufacturer’s delivery times.

While all products are checked for availability, items may still become backordered after the order has been placed. Cancellations fees will not apply to backordered items with lead times greater than 60 days. We will notify you if an item is backordered and has a lead time greater than 30 days. After notification, you will have three business days to cancel the backordered item without cancellation fees.

Order Accuracy:
Please check your order confirmation email for accuracy. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the order placed online or over the phone is accurate. Decorating etc. will not assume any cost to exchange items purchased in error. If a replacement item is necessary, Decorating etc. will create a new order and refund the returned item less return fees, as defined in the Return Policy section.

Return Policy:

All returns must be made within 30 days of receipt. No returns will be accepted after 30 days from receipt. All items must be in new condition and in their original packaging for resale. Items which have been installed can not be returned. Light bulbs and wire are not returnable. A 25% restocking fee will be charged on all returns. Shipping charges are not refundable. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. Your credit will be issued upon inspection by Decorating etc. Please contact Decorating etc. for a return materials authorization (RMA) at 1-866-IDECOR8 (1-866-433-2678) or via e-mail at returns@decorating-etc.com prior to shipping anything back. All returns must have a RMA number enclosed in order to insure proper crediting, and must be shipped fully insured.

Refused Deliveries:
If the product is refused upon delivery, standard restocking fees don't apply, instead, the customer becomes responsible for the freight charges both to and from the manufacturer, as well as the manufacturer’s restocking fee, which may total to greater than 50% of the purchase price.

Damaged Shipment or Defects in Merchandise:
Upon receipt of your product, please inspect the packaging to ensure that it has not been damaged. If the packaging or product has been damaged, be sure that it is noted by the carrier on all shipping documents and contact Decorating etc. immediately at 1-866-IDECOR8 (1-866-433-2678) or by e-mail at support@decorating-etc.com. Any claims for merchandise defects must be made through our customer service department at 1-866-IDECOR8 (1-866-433-2678) or by e-mail at support@decorating-etc.com within 10 days after receipt of merchandise. We will send a replacement part or replace the entire fixture at our discretion. No refund on broken fixtures, if you choose to return a broken fixture without requesting replacement, there will be a 25% restocking fee. Shipping charges are not refundable. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. All returns must have a RMA number enclosed in order to insure proper crediting, and must be shipped fully insured.

Shipping Errors:
All claims for shipping errors must be made through our customer service department at 1-866-IDECOR8 (1-866-433-2678) or by e-mail at support@decorating-etc.com within 10 days after receipt of merchandise. Any shipping cost associated with shipping errors will be the responsibility of Decorating etc.

Shipping within the continental United States:
- Shipping is Free for orders over $100.00 via Ground Shipping to locations within the continental United States. For orders up to $100.00 there will be a $10.00 shipping & handling charge added at the time of checkout.

- Large items or orders may need to be shipped using freight depending on weight and size. You will be advised of the cost before shipping. All prices are quoted in US dollars.

- Any additional shipping fees that result from additional services provided at the time of delivery are the responsibility of the customer. This includes indoor delivery of products shipped via freight companies and / or rerouting of packages to an address different than the "ship to" address provided at the time of ordering.

- Signature service is not offered unless requested upon placing your order, unless this service is requested Decorating etc. will not be liable for any items lost or stolen during shipping.

- In the event that an item is lost and / or damaged during shiping a claim will need to be filed with the carrier and the outcome of this claim received prior to the issuance of credit and / or replacement. Credit and / or replacement cannot be issued unless the claim is settled successfully.

Shipping to Hawaii:
Additional shipping charges will apply for delivery locations in Hawaii. Upon placing your order, you will be contacted by our customer service department regarding the additional shipping charges. Decorating etc. uses several methods of shipping to Hawaii to ensure the best value for our customers.

Shipping outside the continental United States:
For orders shipped outside of the continental United States, the shipping costs are Not included. A customer support representative will e-mail the customer a shipping quote for their approval. At that time, the customer can either accept the shipping charge or cancel the order without penalty. Decorating etc. is not responsible for any taxes, duties, or fee's including Brokerage fee's that are associated with any purchases made outside of the United States; these added charges are the responsibility of the customer.
